WABC-7 is reporting that three teens brutally beat a small dog nearly to death in Asbury Park, NJ this week. A thousand-dollar reward is being offered for any information that could lead to their arrest. Authorities say the dog is lucky to be alive, so they've nicknamed him "Lucky." The following is from the WABC news site:
"A good samaritan who saw the dog and got the teens to leave the dog alone saved Lucky. He is a Jack Russell terrier that is probably going to be blind. He may have suffered some brain damage and only time will tell if he is able to make a complete recovery...
When Lucky was brought into the vet hospital on Sunday, he was in a coma. But today, he has improved remarkably. According to reports, the attackers were about to slam cinder blocks down on the dog when good samaritan came along."
Can I ask what the hell is going on in the world? What planet did I suddenly land on? This goes way beyond putting M-80's in anthills and teasing the neighbor's cat with some kind of fake mouse: It's just plain sick and disgusting. Is there any reason to allow these teens, if caught, to continue to live in society freely? What could they possibly have to offer us as adults?
Since we sadly aren't allowed to publicly beat them with cinder blocks--may I suggest some kind of severe punishment that nips this type of horrendous behavior in the bud--followed by a lifetime of incarceration in a facility reserved for completely useless human waste. These are probably the same kids who later grow up to be the roid-rage dumbasses who sit real low in the drivers' seat of an eclipse their parents paid for, with neon kits underneath, on their way to some club to sexually assault some unbeknownst woman they've gotten drunk. Do we really need more of these people wasting precious air on our planet?
In closing, I'd just like to send out a special thanks to the parents of these kids for the exceptional job they've done raising them. All of us here in the world of intelligence and moral fiber congratulate you.
